Sophia, 9 year old, is pursued by an entity in her home and the terror is experienced from the imaginative perspective of Sophia. An imagination where all of her nightmares come to life, and what normally brings her comfort is personified into horror.
Michael Matsui is a write/director/editor from Northern California and founder of Blue Canyon Film. Michael has produced video content for reputable brands such as Get Axed, Uscape Apparel, FreshFin Poke, and Kids Care Orthodontics. Beginning filmmaking at the age of 11 years old, Michael began taking paid work at the age of 16 until he joined the US Marine Corps for which he served honorably. After departing the military, Michael returned to his roots and ultimately established Blue Canyon to offer a variety of filmmaking services while simultaneously pursuing narrative filmmaking.

While watching this film, I wanted the viewer to experience real life’s horror from the perspective of a child. The people you loved in your childhood may not have truly been the good people they appear to be. Furthermore, we see the ones truly there to help us as a threat. This film will always be special to me because I was raised in a home surrounded by addiction and abuse, these were the horrors I truly faced that shaped who I am today. I was the kid who was on their own and had to figure it out.
